Palanchowk Village is home to the 18-armed Hindu goddess, Bhagawati, the Protectors, Said to perspire in the event of an impending crisis, the Goddess draws pilgrims from across the as far away as India to beg her protection. Rafting on Sunkoshi River

We tralior our rafting trips to suit your needs. The Retreat will lead the adventurous through a series of exhilarating rapids on the Sunkoshi River, or gently guide the whole family downriver.You will hvae an opportunity to sopt Nepal's blue Kingfishers or wild peacocks as you float past lush forests and seemingly isolated villages.
Raft with us at the sunkoshi river that passes through various villages and dense forest. You can experience and participate in the activities performed by the local fisherman and get to learn their fishing technique. During your raft in the sunkoshi river you will be able to see different birds such as the kingfisher, swan, dove, and many more. We also provide our customers with the opportunity of learning their culture and tradition values and way of life of the local fisherman.

Keeping customer's convenience and satisfaction on mind the retreat provide its customers with the option of either a cruise through rapid and wild rafting experience or a smooth and gentle glide through clam and relaxing river. For people who wish to choose rough and wild rafting experience, we suggest our customers to choose the route from Balefi to Timal Beshi which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. And for those who prefer the gentle ride we suggest the route from Chahare to timal beshi or dolalghat depending on customer's prefrence.

Camp with us on the banks of the Sunkoshi River, just 12km, past The Retreat. Situated at the dramatic confluence of the Sunkoshi and Jhiu khola, River, a rain-fed stream, the site is said to have been the summer playground of an ancient king.

At both sites, we not only offer you sense of traditional village life, but we also invite you to participate in a variety of activitties designed to both educate and entertain you.

Hiking & Mountain Biking

The Retreat has nearly unlimited roads and trails to satisfy your curiosity. Take an easy stroll along a gently sloping trail through nearby villages, or a more serious trek between sites. With your bike, coast along a ridgetop or challenge yourslef on narrow trails through rice paddies and along the banks of the Sunkoshi River.
